IEEE SENSORS@25 is a special single-track milestone event celebrating 25 years of the IEEE Sensors Council’s flagship IEEE SENSORS Conference, and marking 25 years of the Council’s conference operations. This curated event will feature short keynote talks by world-leading experts, live demonstrations, panel debates, and interactive presentation sessions. Presentations in the interactive session will by by authors invited via Journal–Conference Synergy (JCS) initiative of IEEE Sensors Council and the selected “work-in-progress” abstracts. SENSORS@25 offers excellent opportunities to network with leading experts and key stakeholders in the sensors community. For more information, see: About SENSORS@25

SENSORS@25 will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from 18–20 May 2026. The detailed program schedule will be announced soon on the event website. We encourage participants to check the website regularly for updates.

SENSORS@25 is primarily an in-person event. We are also exploring the possibility of hosting satellite events, which may include limited remote presentations. Further details will be shared on the website in due course.

Authors of papers published in IEEE Sensors Council journals who have received an official invitation under the JCS initiative are eligible to present at SENSORS@25. These presentations will be delivered during interactive presentation sessions. More details are available here: presentation page

Yes. All delegates, including invited presenters, are required to register for SENSORS@25. Registration information is available here: registration

At present, registration fee waivers are not guaranteed. Any available concessions or discounts will be announced on the event website.

Yes. Limited travel support will be available for presenters participating in live demonstrations and interactive presentation sessions. Travel support is limited and will be awarded based on the criteria outlined on the website. See here: Travel Support

Yes. An official acceptance email will be sent following the acceptance of abstracts or videos submitted in response to the call for participation in interactive sessions, or following confirmation of eligibility for authors invited via the Journal–Conference Synergy route.

The exact duration and structure of interactive presentations are currently under discussion. Detailed instructions will be provided to authors well in advance of the event and will also be published on the event website.

As SENSORS@25 is not a traditional conference, exact attendance numbers are difficult to predict. However, as a milestone event, we expect strong international participation, including leading sensors experts, researchers, industry professionals, IEEE leadership, representatives from Sensors Council member societies, young professionals, and regional chapter members.

No. If your paper was published in an IEEE Sensors Council journal and you received a JCS invitation, prior conference presentation does not affect your eligibility, unless explicitly stated. SENSORS@25 will not publish post-event proceedings.
