Apply for Travel Grants

Important Dates (tentative):

Notification of award: 20th March 2026

Application deadline: 15th March 2026

Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis. Applicants will apply via online form (to be created), where they will provide basic information about themselves and their accepted papers/abstracts/videos. To claim the travel grant recipients must provide proof of attendance (registration).

100+ travel grants will be awarded. The value of each grant will be determined by the committee. To be eligible, an applicant must fall into one of the following categories (in the order listed below):

  • Student members of IEEE Sensors Council’s Member Societies with accepted contributions for ‘Interactive Session’.
  • Volunteers of IEEE Sensors Council’s Collaboration and Engagement group from Africa and then from other places.
  • Members of IEEE Sensors Council’s Member Societies with accepted contributions for ‘Interactive Session’.
  • Accepted contributions for ‘Interactive Session’.

Limited number of travel grants will be awarded. The value of each grant will be determined by the committee based on geographic location of the participants and using the criteria given below:

Who is eligible for the travel grants?
  • Anyone (students, IEEE members, non-IEEE members) with accepted contributions for ‘Interactive Presentation Session’.
  • Volunteers of IEEE Sensors Council’s Collaboration and Engagement group from Africa and then from other places.

Amount of travel grants

  • $100 support for contributors based in Egypt
  • $200 support for contributors based in other North African countries and nearby countries in the Middle East
  • $300 support for contributors based in Sub-Saharan African countries
  • $500 support for contributors based in other regions of the world
  • At the discretion of the Review Committee, additional support may be provided in cases of demonstrated exceptional need.
Travel grants cannot be combined with any other travel support provided by Sensors@25 or the IEEE Sensors Council. If you are receiving travel support from either source, please do not submit a travel grant application.
